The adoption fee for a dog is $50.00 and the adoption fee for a cat is $30.00. The fees include: spay or neuter; rabies vaccination; 1st distemper vaccination; deworming; heartworm check(dogs); 1st parvo vaccination (dogs); and a kennel cough vaccination.

The State requires that all animals adopted from the shelter or animal control facilities be spayed or neutered within a certain period of time depending on the age of the animal. A $25.00 deposit is required by the State of Tennessee and is refunded when you provide proof that your new friend was spayed or neutered prior to the deadline given.

For your convenience, Maury County Animal Services will be open on December 24, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.  We will re-open on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Adoption fees: 

Dog $50.00 plus $25 refundable spay/neuter deposit

Cat $30.00 plus $25 refundable spay/neuter deposit

 

Adoption fees include rabies vaccination, 1st vaccination, heartworm test for dogs  (over 6 months of age), FLEV/FIV test for feline, 1 de-worming, spay/neuter.  $25 deposit is refunded after spay/neuter is done.  If the pet is already altered, the deposit is not included in the adoption process.
